We do these trips on the world famous Kenai River and the Kasilof River. And if you're in Alaska for an extended trip and want to use one of our 18' or 20' power boats, drift boats, or C-Dory for self-guided trips we can help you with that as well.

Give us a call at the number above or drop us an email and we'll be happy to answer any of questions and help customize a trip.

Join us on one of our fully guided Kenai River or Kasilof River fishing trips, or let us help you plan all or part of your entire vacation activities including fly-out fishing, bear viewing, glaciers, halibut trips, gold panning, hiking, lodging, and more.

We offer all type of trips depending upon the season and time of year beginning around May 15 and ending around October 1.

Silver Salmon

Aug 1 - Oct 1

1/2 Day $200

Full Day $250

Silver Salmon is some of the best of the year.  Starting in early fall when the river is quieter these are some of the hardest fighting salmon in the river. Not as big as the Kings but several pounds larger than the Sockeye these are hard fighting fish at the end of your line.

A full day is 9 hours and half day is 5 hours

King Salmon and Sockeye trips are often combined at the right time and depending upon the strength of both runs. Usually we prefer to target the Sockeye until limits are reached and then use the remaining time for targeting Kings. Combo prices are the same as those listed above. Our Kenai River fishing guides can recommend the best type of trip for any day of the year based on run timing, water levels, and time of the year.

The Fishing Academy For The Experienced Fisherman

The Fishing Academy is one of the most unique fishing experience on the Kenai Peninsula. One part guided fishing trip and one part boating and fishing instruction.

As the old proverb says, give a man a fish and you feed him for a day, teach a man to fish and you feed him for a life-time. Well, that's our goal too!

These guided fishing trips are priced similarly to a full day guided fishing trip but with the added benefit of a full day of instruction. You'll learn the basics used to safely and productively target various species of fish on the Kenai and Kasilof Rivers.

We provide all the necessary gear and equipment such as:

  • Power boat with 50HP motor

  • All required safety gear

  • All rods, reels, lures, and bait when allowed

You'll be driving the boat, and operating all the equipment the entire day under the instruction and supervision of our experienced and licensed fishing guides. What you'll learn:

  • Launching and loading the boat

  • River Navigation

  • River boating safety and emergency situations

  • River etiquette

  • Boat Operation and safety

  • Basic knots for boating and basic knots for fishing

  • Various fishing techniques such as back-trolling for Kings

  • Hands on experience operating the boat and managing 4 anglers

Already know all the basics of boating and targeting a variety of salmon but just want a few hours on the river getting the lay of the land?  We can help there too!

We are happy to go out for just a few hours and give some orientation to the river and just tune up some of the basic techniques you'll need to back-troll for our world-class King Salmon, help navigate in and out of some of the great fishing holes, and give an introduction to the river. With nearly 90 miles of total river, with 21 miles of the lower river alone - there is plenty to explore!
